I really do view Beach as the SEC of kickball. I had roughly five tiers (by letter grade, A-F) of division and tourney strength of schedule. Beach is the only division I assigned an A in strength of schedule. I think the talent level is very deep (even deeper than DC Monument in its heyday when GCAS, Trojan, Brew Group, Balls Deep, Playground Menaces, Play With Me, and New Kicks on the Block were all capable of beating each other). I would still love to go during one of the Beach nights in the winter to see division play first hand. I think VA Shore and DC Liberty/Memorial are a close second.

I'm reminding folks again -- the fall poll will look very different because it will reflect everything we've been talking about as far as roster moves, changes, etc. Many teams are sitting out the fall. Many teams are just playing on ensemble casts (either to decompress or to tune up for next year's tourney scene).

I've always tried to use caution as far as how to treat teams that stay home at tourney time. For the longest time, it was just 1 or 2 big tourneys a year. We all know the time and expense involved in going to one of these things, let alone multiple ones. (Especially us in New York.) But with a more robust tourney schedule in place, and with those regions that can't open it up nationally still doing the smart thing and hosting tourneys for local talent (re: NorCal/SoCal), it will not be long before a team that is absent from the tourney scene, no matter how good it purports to be, will find itself on the outside of a poll looking in. And it is hard not to reward those teams that don't have a Beach or a Shore or a Memorial division at home and do have to go on the road and find more competition.

I'm happy with the respect Blue Balls got. I was expecting us to be ranked #7-10 after Vegas. I think a couple teams should be ranked ahead of us, and a couple teams should be ranked behind us, but overall I'm happy.

The pool incident wasn't intended to draw attention--it was a dare. It went largely unnoticed until my exit from the pool. However, for you to call anyone else out for seeking attention might be the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard. You just won the King Douche Award for that statement.

BTW, I was 3-3 against NMY. Clearly after reading your warped sense of statistics, you can flip your 0-1 and my 3-3 to somehow come to the conclusion that you're better than me, though.
